      In this bizarre series for emergent readers, simple text revolves very loosely around a holiday theme. Each volume is slightly different: some include well-selected photos, some are illustrated with drawings; some use repeated text while others incorporate rhymes. There's not a lot of cohesion here, and lots of opportunity for confusion. The volumes could possibly be useful for vocabulary practice. Reading list, websites. Ind.
